Daughter of Mahākamsa, König of Asitañjana. It was predicted that her son would destroy the lineage of Kamsa; she was therefore imprisoned in a room built on a single pillar. With the help of her serving woman, Nandagopā, she entered into an intrigue mit Upasāgara, whom she afterwards married.
They had ten sons - the notorious Andhakavenhudāsaputtā - und one Tochter, Añjanā (J.iv.79ff; PvA.99ff).
