A Paribbājaka, mentioned (S.iv.261f) as having visited Sāriputta at Ukkācelā (Ukkāvelā) and questioned him regarding Nibbāna, and again (A.v.121f) at Nālakagāma, where he questioned him regarding weal and woe.
He is, perhaps, to be identified with Sāmaññakāni.
